On December 3rd, our UJH Red Storm Ambassadors organized a Coin War between the 7th and 8th Grade. Students in both grade levels would battle to see who could earn the most points by the end of the day on Thursday, December 12th. Pennies and cash dollars counted for positive points while silver coins deducted points from class totals. The goal was to raise $650 and that money would be used to purchase Christmas gifts for teens that attend our local Recharge Teen Center in Monmouth, IL.
Our students put in a tremendous effort over the 8 school days our fundraiser was held! Not only did we accomplish our fundraising goal.. we doubled it!! United Red Storm Ambassadors are proud to announce we raised a total of $1,321.89 to purchase Christmas gifts for Recharge.
Attached are several photos depicting our UJH Red Storm Ambassadors hard at work counting coins and shopping for gifts with the money we raised. The members of our group include the following: Wyatt Bockelman (8th), Jayla Johnson (8th), Keith Postin (7th), Clayton Olson (7th) and Abby Green (7th). I couldn't be more proud of them and how they represent the United District!!
